Start-up bioscience companies in North Carolina need support including seed and venture capital, information on technology transfer, assistance with advocacy issues and a network to share ideas. The Emerging Companies Forum provides a platform for NCBIO’s small-company members to discuss issues affecting emerging companies, including access to capital, availability of wet laboratory facilities, stock option accounting, technology transfer, and a host of other issues. The Emerging Companies Forum meetings are held three times yearly.
