Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011. NCBIO Emerging Companies Forum. Members Only Policy Luncheon.
With North Carolina State government facing a $3.4 billion budget shortfall, key programs supporting North Carolina’s emerging life science companies may be targeted for cuts. Programs potentially affected include funding for SBIR/STTR grants; funding for the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, including the Center’s loan and grant programs; incentives for companies to expand; and extension of the Qualified Business Venture Tax Credit. Tax reform issues may also be debated.
Hear from NCBIO President Sam Taylor and help assure your company’s priorities are reflected in NCBIO’s 2011 legislative agenda.
RSVP to Jennifer Fong by January 14th.
NCBIO needs your comments. If you cannot attend email your suggestions to NCBIO President Sam Taylor at staylor@ncbioscience.org.
